Compared side by side · Against a plainly labelled turmeric extract

Not medical advice

Everything here is general educational information. It is not medical advice, creates no clinical relationship, and is no substitute for professional consultation.

Joint-specific warning

JointBrex is a dietary supplement. It is not a treatment for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout or any other joint disease, and no oral supplement rebuilds cartilage. Do not use it in place of diagnosis, prescribed treatment or physiotherapy. A hot, red or swollen joint, particularly with fever, may indicate septic arthritis — an emergency capable of destroying a joint within days. Morning stiffness lasting over an hour may indicate inflammatory arthritis, where early treatment substantially changes long-term outcomes.

About our comparisons

The comparisons here are structural: we compare what published labels state and do the arithmetic on those figures. We have not tested any product, we do not name specific competing products, and we make no claim that any alternative is more effective in practice. Cost figures depend on prices that change and on a dosing assumption the two source documents disagree about. Treat our arithmetic as a method to apply rather than a fixed result.

On the label discrepancy

We report a factual difference between the product's Supplement Facts panel, as supplied with this project, and claims on its reference sales page. We state what each document says. We allege nothing about counterfeiting, adulteration, safety or fraud, and nothing here should be read that way. Verify against the bottle you receive.

FDA position

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

No dietary supplement is FDA-approved. A product described that way is described inaccurately. Manufacture in an FDA-registered facility describes premises.

Higher doses are not automatically safer

Where we note that plainly labelled extracts supply more curcuminoids, that is an observation about value, not a recommendation to take more. Higher doses carry the same interactions more strongly, and rare cases of liver injury have been reported with concentrated turmeric supplements. Discuss any change with a pharmacist.

Interactions

  • Turmeric and curcumin — anticoagulants and antiplatelets, diabetes medication, gallstones, surgery within two weeks
  • Coleus Forskohlii — antihypertensives and nitrates, anticoagulants, gastric acid
  • BioPerine and piperine — raises absorption of many medications, potentially increasing effective dose

Allergens

Gelatin capsule shell. The two source documents disagree on shellfish content. Obtain written confirmation from the manufacturer before use if this matters to you.

Results vary

Descriptions here set out what an ingredient is formulated to support, which is a different thing from what it will do for you. Treat none of it as a promise or as a statement of what most people experience.

No testimonials

We publish no named reviewers, ratings, counts or review markup, because none of it can be verified.

Affiliate relationship

Commission is earned on qualifying purchases through our links at no extra cost to you. It has not shaped the comparisons, which are unfavourable. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" per FTC guidance.

Pricing and the Figures That Conflict

Some people will read the comparison and want to try it anyway, which is a legitimate choice. If that is yours, the pricing page carries current totals, the numbers that do not agree between tables, and the interactions to raise with a pharmacist.
